HR Generalist

Summary:
We are looking for a Human Resource Specialist to join our innovative, fast-growing company. The role is responsible for human resource related duties, including recruiting and hiring employees, conducting interviews, overseeing orientations, managing company’s employees’ data, maintaining employee records, and help employees understand company policies and benefits.

Responsibilities:

•Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
•Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
•Leads a variety of HR processes, including performance management, staffing, training initiatives, compensation, career development, employee relations, and HR policy development.
•Coordinates employee relations issues with HR Manager to ensure prompt and appropriate resolution.
•Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
•Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
•Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
•Responds to questions regarding benefits, payroll, and other HR policies and issues.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
•Two to four years of experience providing administrator and specialist levels support in an HR department.
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
•PHR or SHRM certification a plus.

•Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
•Experience preferred in the following systems: ADP, Kronos and iCIMS.
