At Ameritex, safety is more than just a set of rules and regulations — it’s a fundamental mindset and a core part of our culture. Our employees are the heart of our company, and safety is the foundation upon which all of our processes are built.
We go the extra mile because we believe that holding ourselves to the highest safety standards naturally leads to better productivity and higher quality. Read below to learn about the various ways that we put safety first at Ameritex.
Our Safety-First Mindset
Each workstation is equipped with a safety checklist that operators must go through daily to verify that their machines are functioning correctly. Supervisors oversee this process, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed diligently. This meticulous attention to detail helps prevent accidents and ensures a safe working environment.
Our commitment to safety is reflected in our rigorous procedures and continuous training programs. New employees spend their first day in a safety orientation, followed by a week of intensive training. Once a month, we bring in a third-party company to provide specialized training and certifications for our employees, including crane and forklift operation, and to conduct a thorough safety assessment of our facility. To ensure we are always prepared, our supervisors conduct their own assessments ahead of the third-party inspections. This proactive approach helps us maintain a high standard of safety at all times.
We continuously invest in safety equipment, reflecting our commitment to our employees’ well-being. While other companies might require employees to supply their own personal protective equipment (PPE), we provide all necessary safety gear.
We actively seek employee input regarding PPE. We ask our employees, “What do you need to be more comfortable?” If they have suggestions for equipment that would improve their safety or comfort, we will happily purchase that equipment. Our philosophy is not just to meet the minimum safety requirements, but to exceed them.
How Our Customers Benefit
When you invest in working with a supplier, the safety measures they have in place should be a top consideration. A supplier with a strong safety mindset is less likely to experience disruptions due to accidents or regulatory shutdowns, leading to higher uptime and more reliable production schedules. Said another way: better safety practices lead to shorter lead times and greater certainty in your supply chain.
In addition, a good safety culture translates into higher-quality products. Our commitment to safety means that our employees are well-trained, well-protected, and able to focus on their work without the distraction of potential hazards. This results in meticulous craftsmanship and products that meet the highest standards.
We invite our customers to visit our facility and see our safety practices in action. Our safety-first approach is not just about protecting our employees — it’s about ensuring the quality and reliability of the products we deliver to you.
Ameritex’s dedication to safety-first is evident in our mindset, procedures, and the tangible benefits we offer our customers. By fostering a culture of safety, we ensure that our employees are protected, our production processes are reliable, and the products we deliver are of the highest quality. Safety and quality go hand in hand, and our commitment to both sets us apart in the industry.
